PX-2100 – Spall Protection
During a ballistic attack, most severe injuries occur and a significant amount of lives lost are due to ballistic fragmentation or spalling.
PX-2100 solves this problem by encapsulating the fragments, which will remain trapped in the PAXCON® material, posing no secondary damage.
PX-2100 can be sprayed over any surface hard enough to cause a projectile to spall, such as aluminum, ceramic or steel.
In 2007, PAXCON® PX-2100 was certified by H.P. White Laboratory, Inc., one of the oldest and most respected ballistic and research centers in the nation.
Moreover, PX-2100 was also selected for anti-spalling protection by MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle manufacturers, the Pentagon’s top military personnel protection initiative. For specific results from the H.P. White certification.
